Project Description

Urban flooding is an escalating global issue exacerbated by climate change, leading to more frequent and severe flooding events, particularly in densely populated metropolitan areas. These floods not only disrupt infrastructure and pose serious public health risks but also lead to significant water contamination. The interplay between increased flood occurrences and urban development pressures heightens the urgency to address the contamination of floodwaters that can carry harmful pathogens and pollutants. Diatom:Flood Watch is an environmental monitoring device designed to address the urgent challenges posed by urban flooding through water contamination detection and visual alert system. equipped with advanced sensors, Diatom provides real-time visual alerts of water contamination levels, during crucial Flood events.
